Greater Cincinnati nonprofit organizations not only provide help and an array of services to individuals and families throughout the region, but they also generate nearly $1.5 billion in economic impact, employ more than 24,000 people and pay $751 million in annual wages. Indirect economic impact created by the sector brings the total to $2.9 billion.
The Human Services Chamber of Hamilton County strives to serve as the unified voice of our 100+ nonprofit members regarding issues that impact our entire community. We have
five priority areas on which we focus our efforts and advocacy: Local Government, Housing, Mental Health, Older Adults/Disability, and New Americans.
The Human Services Chamber of Hamilton County supports dedicating a portion of future earnings tax revenue to affordable housing and recommends prioritizing households earning at or below 50% of Area Median Income. We support allocating at least $8 million annually in new funding to the Affordable Housing Leverage Fund, with a focus on producing and preserving housing for those with the greatest need. We look forward to partnering with the City to help expand affordable housing opportunities in Cincinnati.
