WCPO recently ran a story showcasing HSC’s Equitable Public Transit Project. Through this project, HSC is gathering input from residents through surveys and community conversations about public transit improvements needed in 8 local communities. So far, residents have recommended multiple improvements, including more frequency or nighttime/weekend service on particular routes; adding new routes to popular locations; adding bus shelters at specific locations in the neighborhood; and improving customer service from drivers. HSC will continue to gather input throughout the summer and identify the top priorities for each community. We will then collaborate with Cincinnati Metro on a plan to make the desired improvements.
Last month, HSC held two community events in Walnut Hills, one at Easterseals and the other at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services. We received over 150 surveys from clients of those agencies, and their input will inform the improvements we advocate for with Metro.
If you live or work in Walnut Hills, Avondale, Mt. Airy, Mt. Healthy, Springdale, Lincoln Heights, Winton Hills, or North/South Fairmount, please take our online survey here.
