Human Services Chamber member agencies are partnering with the Move Forward campaign to host four events to register their clients to vote and to promote Issue 7, the transportation levy. The issue will be on the ballot at the primary election on March 17.
Issue 7 will greatly expand bus service in Hamilton County, provide discounted bus passes to lower income riders, and make improvements to Access service for riders with disabilities. The plan also creates a $30M fund to fix infrastructure in Hamilton County. Given the significant benefits Issue 7 offers to those our member agencies serve, HSC has become an active partner in the coalition supporting the Move Forward campaign.
Bus service is a lifeline to many in our community who have low incomes and cannot afford a car. It is their only connection to employment, medical appointments and the grocery store. We want to ensure that those who are affected by this issue have a voice and an opportunity to influence the outcome of Issue 7.
